Only the disease of alcoholism takes a greater toll on human life and financial liability to our society, than the smoking habit. Not a disease in itself, sometimes nicotine addiction combines with the disease of alcoholism to hasten death. More frequently, the dangerous drug's effect on the body's organs manages the job without the help of alcohol.  Lung, stomach and throat cancers are not the only diseases nicotine delivers to its users. Hardening of the arteries, emphysema and hypertension, all leading to cardiac failure or stroke are contributed to by smoking. In fact, the chances of dying before your full life span is virtually assured if you smoke. On the other hand it is never too late to quit smoking.

The start of the smoking habit can be traced to a multitude of causes, among them, peer pressure, the desire to emulate the father or mother, or a simple ego-boost to reflect a stereotyped tough guy or sophisticated women image. Inhaling is learned and with it a true chemical need builds up as the body requires its regular nicotine fix.

Tired of being "controlled" by smoking?
When you smoke your heart rate soars and your whole nervous system is stimulated into greater agitation. A cigarette gives you a two minute fix of dopamine (brain chemical that feels good) combined with 48 hours of an agitated nervous system. You keep going back for that good feeling to counteract the agitation.... only to increase the agitation. Cigarettes hold out a promise of relaxation that they NEVER deliver!

My Stop Smoking program consists of six to eight weekly, 60 to 90-minute meetings.

More and more people are turning to mind-body solutions & alternative holisitc therapies for help with weight loss.   Many traditional weight loss programs leave you feeling frustrated and deprived with noticeable results sometimes a longtime in coming.  In the meantime life seems to be governed by the latest "diet" or weight loss fad, instead of living with the freedom from the urges, cravings & habits associated with weight issues.

Body image, weight issues and health related concerns are directly related to how we feel, what we think and unresolved parts of our life.  If weight gain was only about food, then surely diets would work more successfully.  What is at the root of your weight issue? 

My focus is to provide my clients with the most effective treatment I can, so each session is personalized for individual needs and concerns.  I blend Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Energy Healing, Soulwork and Intuitive Guidance - and use the tools & techniques that best serve my client.  While someone may see me for Hypnotherapy, they also receive the healing energy of Reiki at the same time.  And, when I am doing a Reiki treatment I also use relaxation techniques and affirmations frequently used in Hypnotherapy.  I provide a multi-layered approach by treating the mind, the body and the spirit which is an added benefit for my clients.

Most people who seek my help have usually already tried numerous diets or slimming programs with little in the way of lasting results.  Using hypnotherapy to aid weight loss, you will feel healthier, more energetic and happier from day one. I have also successfully assisted people in losing weight with Reiki & Integrative Energy Healing.  When emotions are suppressed & held within the body, we feel "blocked" and our energy does not flow naturally to nurture us.  This can result in weight gain, particularly in the stomach region.  By clearing and releasing energy blockages, there is a noticeable effect felt in the energy body.


My Working Within for Weight Wellness program consists of eight to twelve weekly, 60 to 90-minute meetings.  It utilizes different therapy and learning modalities including presentations, in-session exercises, review of progress, and homework assignments. My program provides an enlightened approach to disordered eating and body image issues. Discovering one's true nature, and distinguishing it from the behaviours and qualities of the false self, is the beginning of the path to the alleviation of suffering and the emergence of the real self.
